Ross McKenzie
Professor of Physics, University of Queensland
Biography
He received his BSc from the Australian National University and an MA and PhD from Princeton University. From 2008 to 2012 he held an Australian Professorial Fellowship from the Australian Research Council. His research interests are in the fields of: Condensed Matter Theory, Chemical Physics, and Quantum Many-Body Theory. His chief research projects are in the areas of: Models for strongly correlated electron materials such as organic and cuprate superconductors; Magnetoresistance of layered metals including topological insulators; Excited states of organic molecules; Hydrogen bonding; Emergent phenomena in complex systems; and the relationship between science and theology. McKenzie is author of the blog "Soli Deo Gloria: Thoughts on Theology, Science, and Culture".
