Biography

She is Director of the ‘Nuffield Politics Research Centre and Westminster Bridge’, Co-Director of the British Election Study, an election analyst for ITV News and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on how mass publics evaluate government performance, on economic voting and wider questions concerning British electoral behaviour. She is an author of Electoral Shocks: The Volatile Voter in a Turbulent World (Fieldhouse et al., 2020, OUP), and The Politics of Competence: Parties, Public Opinion and Voters (Green and Jennings, 2017, CUP).
