Dr. Perera is an Assistant Professor of Government at Cornell University, where she is also affiliated with the Center for the Study of Inequality. 

Dr. Perera studies how politics shape the social policies, labor markets, and overall economies of post-industrial societies, focusing on the United States and Western Europe.
