Dr. Jonah Musa is a specialty trained gynecologist and Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Jos and Honorary consultant gynecologist at the affiliated Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos Nigeria. Jonah completed the graduate school as a Fogarty Fellow at Northwestern University, Chicago, USA and received a Master of Science in Clinical Investigations and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences Integrated Program. Jonah’s long-term research goal is to apply clinical, molecular epidemiology and translational research methodology to understand novel approaches that could improve primary cervical cancer prevention and advance the science of early detection and treatment of cervical precancer in Nigeria and globally. He is a K43 (Emerging Global Leader) grantee studying “Vaginal Microbiome in Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia and Cancer”. He collaborates on several NIH-supported projects with Faculty at Northwestern University, and holds an Adjunct Faculty position in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention, Department of Preventive Medicine, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago. He is happily married to Joy Musa and blessed with Judy and Jeremy. He is a believer of Christ and His gospels.
